AT&T Sunsetting their E-mail gateways
AT&T is sending the following announcement.
AT&T Email to SMS Gateway Service Ending
Hi, it’s AT&T. On 6/17/2025, we’ll stop supporting email-to-text messages. That means you won’t be able to send a text message to an AT&T customer from an email address. You can still get in touch with AT&T customers using SMS (text), MMS, and standard email services. For more info, go to www.att.com/StopEmail2Text
If your CAD or other systems are still using these gateways, you need to take action today. DAPage can make your life easier. A simple address update can swing these transactions to us, and we can deliver them through any of our Enterprise gateway connections to the appropriate carrier. (AT&T Wireless, FirstNet as Built by AT&T, or AT&T Enterprise Paging).

Do you know the difference between these two Motorola MOTOTRBO™ radios?
- They both can support Talk, Text, and Location!
- They both are safety aware in that they are constantly updating situation awareness systems with their location via the built-in GNSS/GPS capability!
- They both have the capability of telling a dispatcher where they are by pressing a programmable button that will send their coordinates!
But the one on the left will go into Emergency mode in a few seconds because it is in a Mandown position and has not moved in 120 seconds. This will result in a pop-up on the Esri Dashboard in front of Dispatcher(s), SMS, and Email with location data to a group of Security and First Responders responsible for SAR, and the built-in MOTOTRBO™ Emergency handling being activated based on subscriber configurations.
